Year after year, he is selected as a Best Lawyer ® and Super Lawyer ®, which are the premier, peer-voted, attorney rating services. For 2020, his peers voted him Best Lawyer’s® “Attorney of the Year - Insurance” in the Northeast Ohio region …this is the third time he has earned a Best Lawyer’s Attorney of the Year award. In 2014, he was Mediator of the Year, and in 2017, Bet the Company Litigator of the Year.
David’s outstanding reputation is the result of his seasoned judgment and fair mindedness.
Dave checks all the boxes for being an effective mediator. He collaborates with counsel to make sure the process is efficient and targeted to the nature of the case before him; he is always well prepared; he is patient, but keeps negotiations moving forward; he and his assistant, Lynn, are willing to accommodate you on short notice; and he will tell you what you do not necessarily want to hear about your position with credibility and tact. I have used Dave while representing plaintiffs and defendants, and I think he is one of the best values in town.
JOHN W. BECKER
David is always thoroughly prepared and brings an invaluable depth of experience from both the plaintiff's and defendant's point of view. He exhibits a patient but dogged determination to help the parties reach a resolution of their dispute.
Dave was great. Helped with a very emotionally driven construction case. He directed his attention where he knew it was most needed, his knowledge of the industry kept the parties focused on the substantive issues and he persistently followed up for weeks after the initial effort to get the case resolved. Super pleased!
